SHADE OPERATION OPTIONS

STANDARD:
CORD CLEAT
Two antique brass cleats are standard with each shade, unless options such as control loop operation or motorization are ordered. Clear acrylic cleats are optional.

CORD LOCK OPERATION
Cord lock operation is ideal for smaller shades, French doors, corner installations and windows that have minimal depth. Cord locks are mounted behind shades and offer the ability to lock the shade into position at any height.

CONTROL LOOP
OPERATION
A control loop takes the place of long side operation cords, providing convenience and added mechanical advantage. This option is excellent for almost any sized shade—we recommend it whenever window depth allows (1” high x 2” deep headerboard). A nylon control loop behind the shade allows even heavy, large shades to be easily raised.

FRONT OPERATION:
CORD LOCK OR
CONTROL LOOP
Front operation offers ease of access for hard-to-reach areas, and can also reduce light leakage by bringing the shade closer to the window. Optional valances or cornices are recommended to conceal operating mechanisms.

MOTORIZATION
Motorized operation offers the ultimate in convenience. Through the touch of a button, switch, or computer command, shades can easily be raised or lowered to any position. CONRAD offers a full range of ultra-quiet, state-of-the-art motorization systems from SOMFY. We work together with you to make motorization easy and customize a plan to meet your requirements.

MOTORIZED ROLL-UP
SHADE
Tailored and modern, motorized roll-up shades offer clean, contemporary design and functionality. Shades roll-up around motorized aluminum tubes, making them particularly ideal for sliding glass doors and large window expanses where maximizing the view is important. Mounted within recessed pockets or behind cornices, shades roll-up out of view.

SLIDING PANEL
SHADE SYSTEM
Our Sliding Panel Shade System offers modern elegance for floor to ceiling windows, sliding glass doors, and large window spans. Shade panels are individually handwoven to size (no cut shade edges), and can stack left, right or to the center of windows. This system is also ideal as a room divider. Custom cornices are available to conceal tracking.

TOP-DOWN/BOTTOM-UP
This is an excellent option for apartments and city residences. Shades can be raised to cover the bottom half of the window, providing privacy or sun control while the top of the window is open to the natural light. Available with cord lock or control loop operation (top-down only).
