Conrad has always offered custom capabilities no other window shade manufacturer can match. Our ability to meet designer’s needs, however challenging, has led to some exciting projects.

Recently, one of our customers selected Weave No. 1710, Maji, for their client’s home on the big island of Hawaii. They wanted the clean, elegant look of our motorized roll-up shades, and appreciated the beauty of our hand-crafted cornices.

But they also requested something special – a way of eliminating light leakage around the outside edges of the shade. For this special project Conrad fabricated a unique, three-sided cornice, meticulously mitered and finished at the corners, to completely surround the shade set and trap light around the edges.

The result – more than an elegant window shade – a sophisticated contribution to the architectural beauty of the room. Clean, simple and luxurious.
